I have been a resident of TEPOA for 25+ years,  and know the residents well.
TEPOA is a 55+ community of 1665 units located West of Tucson.
The excellent facilities include:
  • 18 hole Executive Golf Course
  • 2 Swimming Pools and shallow wading pool
  • Sauna and Spa
  • Water volleyball
  • Swing set
  • Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts
  • Radio Station
  • Library
  • Exercise Room
  • 8 Shuffle Boards
  • 3 Pool (Billards) Tables
  • Card Room
  • Craft Areas for Pottery, Wood, Rock Art
  • Meeting rooms
  • 14 Acres for expansion (in progress)
The TEPOA Website and monthly newspaper keep residents informed of events.  A weekly e-mail provides the latest updates and pictures of activities.
TEPOA owns 14 acres of undeveloped desert North of the housing area.  A study to develop the 14 acres of land to add senior living and recreational areas is in progress.  This is in the planning stage and several ideas have been offered. (See details on the 14 acres section of this website.)
The facilities are only a part of what makes TEPOA great.  The real asset is the PEOPLE that volunteer their time to make the community so special.  We are like a big large family that works and plays together in our retirement years.  Yes, we sometimes disagree about what is the best plan to make TEPOA a better place.
The  $130 / month fee is very reasonable and includes the use of all facilities, weekly garbage removal, and maintenance for 13+ miles of streets that have no potholes.  TEPOA is not a place but a community of active, involved and friendly adults.
Some describe TEPOA as the best kept secret retirement community in Tucson.
